A variable frequency drive adjusts an electric motor’s speed. The cable carries power from the drive to the motor.
Rapid switching creates electrical noise and voltage stress. Cable insulation, shielding and grounding must suit the drive system.
Typical VFD applications include pumps, fans, conveyors and machine tools. Cable suitability depends on the installation.
